Purpose
This sponsored award is open to BC students that identify as Black and are in their 3rd or 4th year of a BBA or BCom program with an accounting concentration or that are enrolled in a diploma program in accounting. This award is open to all Black students enrolled at an accredited post-secondary institution that are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, protected persons, or students with study permits. Applicants must have completed at least one Intermediate Financial Accounting course, demonstrate financial need, and demonstrate satisfactory academic achievement.
Procedures
This form should be completed and submitted with a recent transcript of marks, and a covering letter, and a letter of reference from an accounting instructor (from college or university) or a Status Letter from CPAWSB. The covering letter should explain your reason for requesting financial assistance, including any extenuating short- or long- term circumstances, and your career goals.
The CPAEF will review all the applications received and successful applicants will be notified.
