CPAEF PEP PREP Awards

Purpose of the CPAEF PEP/Prep Bursary and Awards

The CPA Education Foundation (CPAEF) has established awards to assist the Preparatory Courses students who have successfully completed a minimum of two (2) courses with CPA Western School of Business (CPAWSB) in the preceding year, and CPA PEP students once they are registered in CPAWSB Core Module 1, the MAcc program at the University of Alberta, or the MPAcc program at the University of Saskatchewan. These bursaries are open to BC students who have financial need.

This application form is for the CPAEF bursary for PEP and preparatory students.  By filling out this application you could also be considered for the following awards:

• Bruno V. Westerlund Memorial Award ($3,500)
• CPA Technology Fund Award ($2,000)
• CPA Insurance Plans West Bursary for Families ($1,500)
• Childcare Supplement ($1,000)

Procedures

This form should be completed and submitted with a recent transcript of marks, and a personal statement to the CPA Education Foundation of BC. The personal statement should explain your reason for requesting financial assistance, including any extenuating short- or long- term circumstances, your career goals, and provide an estimate of the time you require to obtain your designation. If you have applied for additional awards, please reference this in your personal statement. Please also attach a CPAWSB Status Letter that can be obtained via the MyCPA Portal or a reference letter from an educator (for students at post-secondary institutions).

The CPAEF will review all the applications received and successful applicants will be notified.
