Overview

The world of tax is constantly changing, and government budgets provide advance notice of pending tax legislation changes.

This live virtual seminar is offered in collaboration with the CPA Western Provinces. The content is applicable to all participants. 

 

Course Description

This session will provide a high-level overview of the announcements made in the BC Budget (issued March 2026) and the Federal Budget (to be issued in Fall 2026) that impact corporate and personal taxation.

Content

This is not intended to provide detailed coverage of the proposed tax changes because final legislation will not yet have been released; however, attendees will leave this session with an awareness of pending changes and any preparation strategies available.

Shane speaks at CPABC PD events, plays an active role in CPABC professional development, and had been involved in teaching and course development for the CPA Western School of Business as well as the Sauder School of Business.

In general, we encourage participants to have their cameras turned on to enhance their virtual learning experience. This practice promotes a stronger connection with the instructor and fellow participants, and fosters improved communication and collaboration.
