Building and Fostering Trust (Live Webinar)
Overview
Trust is a foundation of effective leadership, strong workplace relationships, and high-performing teams. This webinar explores the role trust plays in employee engagement, collaboration, and organizational success. Participants will learn practical strategies for building credibility, strengthening communication, and fostering an environment where individuals feel supported, respected, and empowered to contribute. By developing trust intentionally, leaders can enhance team effectiveness, strengthen retention, and support a positive workplace culture.

In this session, you will learn how to:
- establish ground rules to set consistent and reliable expectations for team performance which contributes to increasing trust and reducing suspicion and blame
- learn to communicate clearly and deliberately to remove ambiguity that can create competition, uncertainty and mistrust in your team
- challenge your proximity bias (people produce better work when others can see and hear them doing their jobs) and give people the autonomy to do the work that works for them
- create opportunities for team members to connect with others that have different viewpoints and perspectives and encourage constructive collaboration
- learn the three levels of trust and how they contribute to organizational effectiveness.
- beyond the walls of the business, improving your employees' lives as well as their skills.

Live webinars have varying levels of expected interaction, with some requiring microphone and camera capabilities to support a proper learning experience – please email pdreg@bccpa.ca if you have concerns.
In general, we encourage participants to have their cameras turned on to enhance their virtual learning experience. This practice promotes a stronger connection with the instructor and fellow participants, and fosters improved communication and collaboration.
