As a leader, decision-making is a foundational skill that you must master. This skill is challenging to learn in the best of situations, and when emotions are involved, it takes a keen sense of awareness to handle it effectively. In leadership, you are confronted with various problems and decisions that require a rational, thoughtful response grounded in good emotional awareness.

Course Description
How well do you make quality decisions when emotions are involved? Are you rational and objective when solving problems? Do you let your emotions cloud your objectivity?
Effective decision-making means that you can grasp and handle issues and mindfully formulate practical solutions, control your impulses that may derail your decision-making skills, and deal realistically with situations as they arise. This workshop walks you through a proven model to decipher and weigh your options, ultimately leading to good, deliberate decisions. You will learn about the different decision-making styles and understand how your EQ plays a role in comprehensive decision-making. You will walk away with practical decision-making tools to apply to your work immediately.

Live webinars have varying levels of expected interaction, with some requiring microphone and camera capabilities to support a proper learning experience – please email pdreg@bccpa.ca if you have concerns.
In general, we encourage participants to have their cameras turned on to enhance their virtual learning experience. This practice promotes a stronger connection with the instructor and fellow participants, and fosters improved communication and collaboration.
