Overview

Participants will learn a structured, practicable approach to leading teams and business units through volatility—prioritizing liquidity, clarifying operating cadence, and integrating forecasting, risk, and scenario planning into day-to-day leadership. Participants will rehearse decision-making under pressure and translate insight into clear 30/60/90-day actions that stabilize performance and position the organization for resilient growth.

Access expires 180 days from purchase date

Applicable for

  • Business leaders, senior managers, and functional decision-makers responsible for guiding teams through market uncertainty and operational disruption.
  • Leaders who own strategic planning, FP&A/forecasting cadence, or cross-functional execution.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Explain how external shocks (policy changes, demand swings, supply disruptions) alter leadership priorities and operating models.
  • Apply an adaptive leadership framework that balances survival disciplines (cash, focus, productivity) with strategic opportunity seeking.
  • Integrate forecasting and scenario planning with ERM concepts to drive timely decisions and early-warning triggers.
  • Strengthen team communication, culture, and ethical judgment during turbulence, including how to separate targets from forecasts.
  • Design a practical 30/60/90-day operating cadence with governance artifacts that align resources and sustain execution.

Content

  • Turbulence fundamentals: survival precedes strategy; liquidity, focus, and healthy growth disciplines.
  • Forecasting that leaders can use: cadence, horizons, bias control, rolling forecasts, and feedback loops.
  • Risk & scenario integration: risk vs. uncertainty, assessments, early-warning systems, and execution linkages.
  • Leadership behaviors & ethics: power, climate, communication, negotiation, and fair decision-making under pressure.
  • Operating cadence: 30/60/90-day plans, governance artifacts, common pitfalls, and “what good looks like.”
