SEMINAR TYPE
PD Seminar

Overview

How do you make work meaningful? What difference are you making? Why should you care?

This seminar tackles the challenge of engagement by asking deeper questions about effort, energy, and the point of it all. Purpose is the bedrock of resilience. Meaning and mattering are not as gauzy or abstract as they may seem — they are practical forces that sustain people through pressure, uncertainty, and change. This course offers fresh insights into how to be both successful and significant, and how to inspire your team to care, contribute, and show up even when the path ahead is unclear.

This seminar is eligible towards
The Advanced Resilient Leadership Certificate Program

CPABC is pleased to present the Advanced Resilient Leadership Certificate Program. This four-part program will focus on providing strategies and tools to leaders so they can become examples of resilience and build resilient teams. The challenges for leaders are extraordinary. With continued uncertainty, unrelenting change and an exhausted workforce, Resilient leadership is the first one. How do you engage and inspire your teams amid high levels of stress and burnout? Without resilient leadership it will be impossible to have healthy employees who care about your business, feel committed and invested enough to work hard on new solutions with hope, immense courage and sustained energy. The four modules are:

Each seminar can be taken as a stand-alone course, but in order to qualify for the certificate, participants are required to complete all four titles.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
The four seminars in the Advanced Resilient Leadership Certificate Program will be offered as live webinars for the final time during the Spring/Summer 2026 season. Beginning July 2026, these seminars will transition to an on-demand format with no live instruction. We encourage participants to plan their registrations accordingly.

Course Description

Research shows that purpose-driven people are mentally and physically healthier, more energetic, and more committed — especially in uncertain times. Purpose isn’t something that lives only in a mission statement, and meaning isn’t found in a job description. It lives in everyday meetings, conversations, decisions, and moments of recognition. Through concrete examples, real stories, and practical ideas, you will be better equipped to help your team feel that what they do genuinely matters.

You will leave with a dozen practical strategies to make meaning visible — shaping the environment, language, rituals, and structures that help people feel proud of their contribution and energized by their impact.

Success without significance can leave even high achievers wondering if it was all worth it.

Significance is what transforms effort into fulfillment. It is the difference between simply making a living and knowing you made a difference. The best leaders today understand that money matters — and so does the deep “psychic income” that comes from doing work you can be proud of and helping others do the same.

Applicable for

Leaders and emerging leaders of teams in industry, public practice, government and non-profit.
