Overview

Strong communication and professional presence are increasingly important in accounting and business environments. This practical and interactive session focuses on personal branding, presentation skills, storytelling, and articulating ideas with clarity and confidence. Participants will explore techniques to improve executive presence, engagement, and communication effectiveness in meetings, presentations, and client interactions. The workshop combines practical frameworks and real-world examples designed to help professionals communicate more clearly and confidently.

Advisory: As this is a highly interactive workshop, participants will need to have access to audio and video capabilities (mic and camera) in order to participate in the breakout rooms and chat.


This live virtual seminar is offered in collaboration with CPA Western Provinces. The content is applicable to all participants. BC registrants can access the course materials and virtual meeting link through CPABC's Learning Management System (LMS) as usual. Please note that this virtual seminar will be hosted by CPA Alberta CPA Manitoba/Saskatchewan. The seminar times noted here are already adjusted to BC time. Course Description

This workshop focuses on the communication and presentation skills required to build credibility, personal brand and professional influence. Accounting professionals are increasingly expected to present ideas clearly, communicate technical information to non-technical audiences, and engage effectively with clients. 

We will explore personal branding, executive presence, storytelling, audience engagement, and presentation delivery. The session also explores techniques for simplifying complex ideas, improving confidence under pressure, and handling questions professionally during discussions. 

Applicable for

Accounting professionals, finance teams, managers, emerging leaders, and professionals seeking to strengthen communication, presentation, and professional branding skills.

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

Improving Your Virtual Learning Experience

In general, we encourage participants to have their cameras turned on to enhance their virtual learning experience. This practice promotes a stronger connection with the instructor and fellow participants, and fosters improved communication and collaboration.
