Navigating Sustainability Reporting in Uncertain Times (On-Demand - CPABC)
Overview
Sustainability Reporting is rapidly evolving, with complex and, at times, controversial changes to Standards that could impact your organization. This session will briefly look at the background to the new Canadian Sustainability Standards, review key developments in other jurisdictions and consider how the recent issuance of the Canadian Sustainability Disclosure Standards (CSDS 1 & 2) could impact Canadian organizations and CPAs.
This is an individual session recorded from PD Nexus: Business & Leadership Insights (July 2025). Note that this title is also available in the bundled on-demand package titled PD Nexus: Business and Leadership Insights (On-Demand - CPABC). Please ensure you do not purchase both.
Access expires 180 days from purchase date |
Content
- Examine the impact of the new sustainability reporting standards from three different entity perspectives – a Canadian publicly traded company, a public sector entity and a smaller private company
- Understand the implications and incentives for each entity, considering their stakeholders
- Explore the ‘climate-first’ approach to the standards that allows a phased-in approach for entities on their sustainability reporting journey
