Many professionals focus on time management, but what if managing your energy is the real key to sustained performance and well-being? Our energy impacts everything - our physical vitality, emotional resilience, and mental clarity - yet we often find ourselves drained, struggling to keep up, and relying on habits that offer short-term relief but long-term depletion.


This live virtual seminar is offered in collaboration with CPA Western Provinces. The content is applicable to all participants.

 

Course Description

While we can’t always control external events or the demands of our work and life, we can develop the practices and strategies that allow us to build, sustain, and protect our energy - helping us show up as our best selves for our work, families, and communities. 
 
In today’s fast-paced world, distractions, stress, and competing priorities make it easy to neglect energy management. By shifting the focus from managing time to managing energy, you’ll be better equipped to stay focused, engaged, and productive - without running on empty. 

Applicable for

Professionals who want to learn how to manage their energy to achieve sustained performance and well-being.

Content

  • Understand the critical role of energy in performance, decision-making, and overall well-being, as well as the ripple effect it has on those around them
  • Explore the neuroscience behind energy depletion, including why we neglect self-care and prioritize external demands over our own needs
  • Assess their current energy levels across multiple domains in their of life
  • Learn five practical strategies to boost energy, focus, and resilience every day
  • Develop sustainable habits to maintain high energy and prevent burnout over the long term

Scott was previously the National Leader of HR for one of Canada’s largest employee-owned engineering and science consulting organizations and thoroughly enjoys the challenge of working with analytical, critical thinkers.

Live webinars have varying levels of expected interaction, with some requiring microphone and camera capabilities to support a proper learning experience – please email pdreg@bccpa.ca if you have concerns. 

In general, we encourage participants to have their cameras turned on to enhance their virtual learning experience. This practice promotes a stronger connection with the instructor and fellow participants, and fosters improved communication and collaboration.
