Course Description

What skillset differentiate the great CFOs from the merely good ones. In this course, we will profile 10 such executive competencies to help any existing or aspiring executive buildout their skillset to meet today’s demands of the role of the CFO. The skills that got you to the corner office are not the same that will make you successful in the corner office. Rising to this challenge elevates not only your performance, but your team's performance and the performance of the organization.

Blair Cook, CPA, CA, CPA (Ill), MBA, is a many-time and active financial executive, corporate director, author, speaker, and thought leader. His educational videos of accounting and finance have million of views on YouTube. He has keynoted and spoken at national conferences from New York to Toronto. Along with Jennifer Ross Nicholson, he co-hosts CPA Canada’s podcast series “CPA Success Podcast.” He works with real businesses experimenting with theories and best practices to share his experiences and stories with others of what works, what doesn’t, and what was learned. He is the author of The Illiterate Executive: An Executive’s Handbook for Mastering Financial Acumen.

Improving Your Virtual Learning Experience

Live webinars have varying levels of expected interaction, with some requiring microphone and camera capabilities to support a proper learning experience – please email pdreg@bccpa.ca if you have concerns. 

In general, we encourage participants to have their cameras turned on to enhance their virtual learning experience. This practice promotes a stronger connection with the instructor and fellow participants, and fosters improved communication and collaboration.
