Course Description

In this workshop, participants will learn how a strong communication foundation can help them navigate workplace culture, speak with confidence, and connect with diverse audiences. This session will also explore how to use AI tools smartly and securely without losing your authentic, professional voice. Through a tactical communication framework, participants will learn how to ensure their ideas are heard, emails are actioned, and their professional reputation is rock-solid.

Content

  • Interpret workplace communication styles and adapt to organizational norms
  • Contribute effectively in meetings (in-person and virtual) and align communication with team expectations
  • Apply a 6-Point Comms Checklist based on a framework to ensure every message, email, report, and presentation is impactful

Together with her team at Six Words Communication, they develop communication plans, campaigns, and materials that build brands, engage audiences and drive results. Corinne holds a Masters of Professional Communication degree from Toronto Metropolitan University and is the recipient of a Gold Quill Excellence Award from the International Association of Business Communicators for her work in change communication.

In general, we encourage participants to have their cameras turned on to enhance their virtual learning experience. This practice promotes a stronger connection with the instructor and fellow participants, and fosters improved communication and collaboration.
