This live virtual seminar is offered in collaboration with CPA Western Provinces. The content is applicable to all participants. BC registrants can access the course materials and virtual meeting link through CPABC's Learning Management System (LMS) as usual. Please note that this virtual seminar will be hosted by CPA Alberta. By embracing these lessons, you will not only enhance your ability to lead effectively but also create an environment where your team members feel valued, motivated, and equipped to achieve their highest potential. The journey to becoming a more complete leader is ongoing, and it requires a commitment to personal and professional growth. Let these lessons be your guide as you navigate the complexities of modern leadership and strive to make a lasting impact on your organization. 

We’ll look at THE seven lessons that will challenge, inspire, and guide you to consider making meaningful and beneficial changes to the way you lead others. 

Applicable for

This course is for those in positions of the leadership who have come to realize and appreciate that they are seeing a rapidly changing workplace landscape – one with changing personal dynamic as well as the onset and challenge of new technology such as artificial intelligence …and that as they leader they are, they need to take on additional skills to stay ahead of the curve.

Learning Objectives

  • Discover the four core leadership styles and the best one for a changing, challenging work environment. 
  • Learn that agile leadership is about being “movers” and agents of change – a willingness to lead by example.  
  • Be assured that being an agile leader is not abandoning that which works but embracing a wider more contemporary set of leadership skills that resonate better with today’s employees.

Michael Lewis
Michael Lewis is Managing Director of Michael Lewis Training, Motivation and Development, a London, Ontario-based training, and development firm that was founded in 1994 and is very experienced and popular speaker and trainer. As of January 2026, he has spoken and/or presented workshops, seminars, webinars, and team-building sessions almost 6800 times in 429 different communities across Ontario. He has been honoured to have been of service to a wide range of clients in private, non-profit, and public sectors. Additionally, he has spoken and presented seminars and workshops on a wide variety of emerging and important topics to over the past 23 years to the accounting profession across Ontario primarily to the members of the CPA Ontario, but also to CPA Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Nova Scotia, and CPA New Brunswick. After a 42-year career in training, he retires at the end of 2026.

In general, we encourage participants to have their cameras turned on to enhance their virtual learning experience. This practice promotes a stronger connection with the instructor and fellow participants, and fosters improved communication and collaboration.
