In today’s business environment, professionals are frequently required to navigate ethical challenges that involve competing interests, organizational pressures, and difficult decisions. This course introduces key ethical theories and examines how personal values and business values influence decision-making. Through discussion, reflection, and real-world examples, participants will develop practical approaches to recognizing ethical issues, evaluating alternatives, and supporting ethical conduct within their organizations.

Applicable for

Leaders and managers who want to enhance their appreciation and understanding of ethical practices in the workplace setting.

Content

  • Fostering an ethical mindset.
  • Identify your “ethical standard” and how to communicate this standard in support of business decisions.
  • Develop communication strategies in support of ethical actions.
  • Examine their understanding of key concepts and terms in business ethics.
  • Reflect on ethical issues in a business context.

Improving Your Virtual Learning Experience

Live webinars have varying levels of expected interaction, with some requiring microphone and camera capabilities to support a proper learning experience – please email pdreg@bccpa.ca if you have concerns. 

In general, we encourage participants to have their cameras turned on to enhance their virtual learning experience. This practice promotes a stronger connection with the instructor and fellow participants, and fosters improved communication and collaboration.
