Overview

As artificial intelligence continues to reshape the business environment, CPAs and finance leaders are increasingly called upon to balance innovation with ethical responsibility. This webinar examines the opportunities and challenges AI presents to the profession, with a focus on ethical decision-making, professional judgment, and leadership. Participants will explore emerging AI developments and gain practical insights into applying the CPA Code of Professional Conduct when evaluating AI-related risks, opportunities, and organizational decisions.

 


This live virtual seminar is offered in collaboration with CPA Western Provinces. The content is applicable to all participants.

 

Course Description

Artificial intelligence is transforming how organizations operate, make decisions, and create value. At the same time, its rapid adoption introduces new ethical, governance, and professional considerations for business leaders. This interactive session explores recent developments in AI and examines the potential implications for CPAs and other professionals responsible for guiding organizational decision-making.
Participants will review leading approaches and emerging frameworks designed to support trustworthy and responsible AI adoption. The session will explore how these principles align with the CPA Code of Professional Conduct and how they can be applied when addressing real-world business challenges involving AI technologies.

Through practical scenarios and discussion, participants will strengthen their ability to identify ethical considerations, assess risks, and apply a structured approach to AI-related decisions. The program emphasizes the important leadership role CPAs play in promoting responsible innovation while maintaining professional integrity and public trust.

Applicable for

CPAs in any role and in all levels of organizational decision-making who have an interest in the ethics elements of technology-related decisions.
