Participants will explore the historical definition and characteristics of money, examine how value is exchanged in the digital age, and understand the basics of blockchain technology, including digital keys, hash functions, and probabilistic finality. The course also covers the differences between cryptocurrencies and fiat money, and provides a walkthrough of a real-world transaction on the Bitcoin blockchain. Additionally, learners will learn about the different types of wallets used to hold cryptocurrencies, equipping them with a solid foundation in digital assets.
