Overview

Accounting professionals are increasingly expected to analyze larger volumes of data and deliver deeper insights. This hands-on workshop introduces participants to R, a powerful and free analytics language, and demonstrates how it can be integrated directly into Microsoft Excel to enhance data analysis, automation, and visualization. Through practical exercises, participants will learn how to expand Excel’s capabilities and apply modern analytics techniques to accounting and financial data.


This live virtual seminar is offered in collaboration with CPA Western Provinces. The content is applicable to all participants.

This lab-style workshop provides hands-on experience using R within Microsoft Excel to create advanced analytical and visualization solutions. Andy has led various initiatives: building enterprise datastore, implementing enterprise-grade analytics/data visualization, automating business processes and many others. These value-adding projects better assist and inform management at different levels while alleviating reporting burdens. As a CPA since 2020, Andy's educational background encompasses Master of Accountancy and Master of Management Analytics. Andy is also certified as Microsoft Trainer and as Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate.
