Applicable for
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, participants should be able to:
- Demonstrate inclusive behaviors and give examples of when others have been inclusive.
- Identify examples of microaggressions around them and in their workplace.
- Define key equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) terminology.
- Explain their motivation, role, and responsibilities in disrupting bias.
- Articulate ways they can practice everyday inclusion to support others in their workplaces.
- Contribute to psychological safety and belonging within their workplace by being able to plan and practice disrupting bias.
Content
This course builds on foundational equity, diversity, and inclusion concepts and focuses on their application in day-to-day professional contexts. Participants examine how bias and microaggressions may arise in routine interactions, workplace systems, and governance practices, and consider the ethical implications of inaction. The course provides structured opportunities for participants to reflect on their individual motivations, roles, and responsibilities in supporting fairness, respect, and psychological safety. Participants benefit by developing a clearer understanding of how everyday inclusive actions align with professional ethics, organizational accountability, and the CPA commitment to integrity and professionalism.

Improving Your Virtual Learning Experience
What To Expect:
- This is a Live Virtual Seminar where class size has been limited to allow for an interactive learning environment.
- This seminar will not be recorded.
- Course materials, links and credentials will be found in PD Connect two business days before the seminar.
- Once sent, these emails can also be found in the Communication tab of your CPA Saskatchewan Member Portal.
Live webinars have varying levels of expected interaction, with some requiring microphone and camera capabilities to support a proper learning experience – please email pdreg@bccpa.ca if you have concerns.
In general, we encourage participants to have their cameras turned on to enhance their virtual learning experience. This practice promotes a stronger connection with the instructor and fellow participants, and fosters improved communication and collaboration.
