Course Description

This course provides a concise overview of the leading technologies and economic forces reshaping the accounting profession and how accountants are using new digital business models to thrive in the face of rapid and seismic change. You will walk away with a simple yet effective game plan to keep up with exploding digital transformation and translate technology ambitions into practical reality.

Applicable for

Those who want to “tech up” and explore a swirl of innovation, strategy and data opportunities in today's digital world.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify at least 5 ways artificial intelligence is impacting the accounting profession
  • Give examples of at least 10 AI solutions that are accelerating accounting workflows
  • Point out at least five AI foundational technologies that are transforming how accounting work gets done
  • Recall at least 60 leading AI vendors which target the accounting industry
  • List at least 10 new skills that are required by accountants to thrive in this dynamic AI age

Live webinars have varying levels of expected interaction, with some requiring microphone and camera capabilities to support a proper learning experience – please email pdreg@bccpa.ca if you have concerns. 

In general, we encourage participants to have their cameras turned on to enhance their virtual learning experience. This practice promotes a stronger connection with the instructor and fellow participants, and fosters improved communication and collaboration.
