This live virtual seminar is offered in collaboration with CPA Western Provinces. The content is applicable to all participants.

 

Course Description

Through real-world scenarios and guided practice, you’ll learn how to:

  • Apply generally accepted prompting techniques to GenAI platforms
  • Analyze numerical data using AI tools
  • Enhance written communication through AI-assisted drafting
  • Design and deploy custom GPTs
  • Assess and manage ethical risks and professional responsibilities related to AI use.
Advisory: Unlike other GenAI seminars, this workshop emphasizes active participation, ethics-first decision-making, and practical CPA-relevant applications. You won’t just learn about AI - you’ll use it.

Applicable for

This workshop is ideal for CPAs and accounting professionals who want to future-proof their skills and integrate GenAI tools into their workflows—ethically and effectively. No prior AI experience required.

  • Distinguish between AGI, ANI, and core AI branches like machine learning and deep learning 
  • Define key GenAI concepts including GPTs and prompt engineering 
  • Develop a decision model for when and how to use GenAI tools
