Overview

This course has been designed for leaders who are considering how to integrate AI technologies into their organization. The transition of a professional accounting firm into an AI powered accounting firm is a significant one that includes several risk factors along with its benefits. Leaders must not only understand the impact of the technologies themselves, but also the different ways in which employees and clients will react to the changes they bring. There are regulations and stakeholders to deal with, as well as a redefinition of a leader’s role, including the use of AI tools to become an “augmented leader.”


This live virtual seminar is offered in collaboration with CPA Western Provinces. The content is applicable to all participants.

Applicable for

Team leaders and aspiring leaders, managers/owners of accounting departments or businesses. This course would also be of interest to non-leaders seeking a strategic picture of accounting in the era of AI.

This course assumes participants have a passing knowledge about AI and Generative AI technologies and delves into AI-specific leadership issues such as change management, change resistance, leading through organizational change, deploying a plan and building a community around AI.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • understand key elements of leadership, change management and technology integration specifically in regard to an AI transformation
  • assist leaders in finding their path toward successful transformation
  • illustrate techniques and resources for staying in tune with AI’s frequent innovations
  • discuss issues regarding ethics and privacy, especially regarding the ways in which AI collects data
  • redefine and upgrade the concepts behind leadership in this era

Live webinars have varying levels of expected interaction, with some requiring microphone and camera capabilities to support a proper learning experience – please email pdreg@bccpa.ca if you have concerns. 

In general, we encourage participants to have their cameras turned on to enhance their virtual learning experience. This practice promotes a stronger connection with the instructor and fellow participants, and fosters improved communication and collaboration.
