Course Description

This practical workshop provides a foundational understanding of strategic budgeting and forecasting for professionals who are new to the budgeting process, advancing in their careers, or looking to strengthen their existing approach. Participants will learn how to develop effective budgets, apply variance analysis techniques, and use financial information to support informed business decisions.

Through a combination of instruction, discussion, and interactive exercises, participants will explore leading practices in budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement. Working collaboratively, they will develop a budget for a sample organization and gain hands-on experience applying key concepts in a realistic business setting. This practical approach helps bridge theory and application while building confidence in budgeting and forecasting processes.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be better equipped to support organizational planning, enhance forecasting accuracy, and contribute to strategic decision-making within their organizations.
