Overview
The course will provide leaders and budget professionals with a company-wide budgeting process. Briefly reviewing basic budget techniques will get the participants into a budgeting mindset. Then, more advanced techniques will be applied to the fundamental framework, focusing on building a reliable number set while engaging employees to participate in budgeting and commit to corporate goals.

- explore backward analysis and forward-thinking metrics
- embrace modern communication methods for effective budgeting. Engage in a big-picture, company-wide budget mentality
- utilize budgets to manage performance and meet organizational objectives
- be familiar with the most recent advancements in AI budgeting
Content
- introduction and budgeting basics
- a short review of basic budgeting terms and principles will get participants into the budgeting mindset
- overall value equation
- how do you take your historical reference and make it into a forward-looking budget that includes the back and front end?
- The CAGE method will be introduced
- back end
- bottom-up planning and proposal of what will be offered and a budget to produce products from the product and service design team while factoring in future volume, with input from the sales and marketing team
- front end
- engaging the sales and marketing team to plan the budget's revenue streams.
- product or service delivery, sales, and marketing teams should rationally consider and speak about what’s feasible in the market
- artificial intelligence for budgeting
- an overview of the advancements in the use of AI for budgeting

Live webinars have varying levels of expected interaction, with some requiring microphone and camera capabilities to support a proper learning experience – please email pdreg@bccpa.ca if you have concerns.
