Overview
Participants will learn how to design, perform, and document monitoring and remediation in accordance with CSQM 1 for non-assurance practices, including root-cause analysis and development of remediation plans. Participants will also connect monitoring outcomes to the annual evaluation of the system of quality management (SOQM) and tailor activities to firm size, risks, and engagement mix.

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

- Distinguishing findings from deficiencies; assessment of impact on the SOQM; root-cause analysis.
- Designing, implementing, and evaluating remediation plans; ongoing communication and performance evaluations.
- Linking monitoring results to the firm’s annual SOQM evaluation.
- Documentation requirements for monitoring and remediation.
