Students who have written the UFE will be eligible to take Professional Development that must be completed prior to their admission to membership in CPABC. Students require thirty-five hours of PD consisting of the following components:
Students MUST TAKE the following two courses offered by CPABC:
You and Your Designation (7 credit hours) and
Effective Management Skills (7 credit hours)
Students may choose from one of the approved soft-skills courses offered by CPABC (7 credit hours each).
You will also need to complete the additional 14 hours through either your firm's in-house training (if applicable), or through CPABC's PD Program. They must cover topics in the general fields of Financial Accounting and Reporting, Auditing and Professional Practice, Managerial Accounting and Control, Taxation, Valuations, Insolvency, Management, Ethics, Information Technology, or any of the approved soft-skills seminars listed above.
